I was the co-pilot in the high ship the day Stew was shot down and saw everything. Such memories are often too painful for family and friends. Stewart and I started flying at about the same time. Two ships were going to be available, 133 and 303. Three was my luckey number, I thought I couldn’t go wrong! In the meantime I was offered a spot on ” Snake Doctor”. We were on the CA the first time Stewart was shot down, eeveryone made it out OK! In the EMclub that evening I asked him if he was going to keep flying, he said sure! The second time, they weren’t so luckey. He was Crewchief on both 133 and 303 I don’t remember which ship was first but his fate could have very well have been mine. It haunts me to this day and I will never forget him!
Stewart & I were close friends and had alot of good talks together.I have thought of him often and miss him to this very day.Hope to see you again Stu!!!!!
