Comments: I flew with George for 6 months as his gunner, we were shot down flying lead with 249 Hueys behind us in Operation Junction City. He was wounded and I patched him up. We were dropping flares the night our Firebirds disabled the 150 ft Russian Trawler. We were flying C&C the night we sank 356 sampans. We saw it all together, I will miss him dearly! |

Comments: I served with George at the United States Army Safety Center at Fort Rucker in the 1980 time frame. I found him to be a truly good person. I did not discover that he was a Rattler until just a few years ago. He and I had the same job in he Rattlers, XO, about a year apart. RIP George and may God Bless your family. |
