Another year has come and gone and Veterans Day is almost here where we can remember and honor the 55 men in our company who gave their lives for our country while serving in Vietnam. We also lost 10 more of our men, including 1 who was awarded the Medal of Honor while serving in country on additional tours. Each year more and more of the men who served in my company and came home are no longer with us. This Friday, I am going to remember and honor all of them. They are all missed. God bless them all. For all of those that I served with and those that I have met over the last 49 years, thank you for your service. I hope to see you in Nashville in 2018. "I have loved thee with an everlasting love." For any of you who may not have heard, Kay Seabolt, a very special lady and dear wife of our National Director Ron, lost her long battle with cancer Saturday, August 27th at 5:40 PM with Ron at her bedside. Kay was a very devout Christian and we know she is now pain free and in a better place. However, Ron and her daughters have very painful transition to make in their lives and so could really use our prayers and well wishes at this time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Doug, I totally agree with you. The arrival of each issue is a very emotional time for me. This one was especially so. My biggest fear during my tour was being captured. I figured if you're killed, it's all over. However, if captured the torture and hardship becomes almost endless and I' sure seems totally endless. Then, so often, as it did with an AF guy I grew up with and several of the guys Jim knew, it still ends in death. Very much a lose/lose situation.
