As a WO, I Flew in the little seven man Aviation Section of the 196th LIB. Shared the AO with you guys. Knew many of you (including Cotton). We flew every action the 196th was involved in. Swa you guys at your best almost every day. Some day I am going to attend one of your reunions and swap tales and maps and pictures. We had three UH-1s and four OH-23s. It was spooky flying solo in the Raven out over indian country. More than once it was nice seeing a Rattler or a Firebird in the neighborhood. I flew a lot of sniffer missions in the UH-1s with Firebirds for cover.

As awful as it was, I would have fought proudly in the Vietnam war as a helicopter pilot. I honor and respect all who spent any time there... God speed...

My father's name is Michael Rogers. He served with the Firebirds in 1966 and 1967. I just wanted to say how much I truely appreciate everyone that served in Vietnam with my father. Everyone one of you all are heroes to me, especially my father.
