I am Kelly Johnson Jr.'s daughter. He served 66-67. He didn't like to talk about Vietnam & he was murdered in 2009. I found his lighter from Vietnam today..it says 71st ASLT HEL CO.; BIEN HOA. He is on the roster for 67. If anyone knew him or has any pictures, Please let me know. I do not know exactly what he did, so any information on that would be wonderful. Thank you all for your service to our country.

On the night of May, 28-29 1969 Alpha Co. 1st Bn. 7th Marines 1st Marine Div. was overrun by the NVA, 25 miles SW of DaNang in THUONG DUC. We had 28 emergency medevacs. 2 Marine CH46's repeatedly refused to land because our LZ was hot. An ARMY crew broke into our conversation & told us they they were coming in & THEY DID!!!!
