Comment: Paul Hillhouse was First Sergeant while I was in the 71st. He terrorized the enlisted troops and some of the officers, too. He was from Decatur, Georgia, and I was from Atlanta, so I was OK.
I don't remember anyone ever trying kid around with him or play a practical joke. He just had too much power over our everyday life.
I wish I had run across him later on. I suspect he was a nice guy when not ON DUTY.
