Comments:I evacuated Efrain's body from the LZ after he was killed at Million-Dollar Hill.

As a crewchief with the 161st AHC, our company participated with the 71st AHC on this mission on Sept 12, 1967. We had already made one insertion into the LZ when the call was made for a medevac. We returned to the LZ and picked 3 WIA and 1 KIA. The KIA was helicopter crewman, still wearing his helmet and chest protector.

I learned years later, talking to Ron Seabolt, that this probably Efrain Robledo, since he did not show any major trauma (only shrapnal wounds) to his body.

Comments:I have always regretted that I lived with this man for a short time, yet cannot recall what he looked like. He died trying to aid his injured crew chief get to a rescue aircraft. He was assigned to this mission because the regular gunner, Bob Thomas, was due a day off. Fate. Yet the same fate struck the gunner who was off on 4 May 69. RIP!

Comments:I have been looking up information regarding my brother and to have in our family books. My mother just recently asked me to get a flag case for his flag so that I could have it mounted on the wall. I would appreciate any information on my brother for me to share with my children and my other siblings.
